Jim joined AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah in 2014 and brings nearly 20 years of extensive road service experience, having led roadside operations in Chicago and Arizona. Jim’s accomplishments also include a five-year stint as CEO of AAA MountainWest. During his 28-year career with AAA he has held leadership positions that touch nearly every aspect of Member service.
At AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah, Jim oversees all roadside service operations as well as the operations for the Member Service Center in Clearfield, Utah. He is responsible for the overall service experience of Members who request road service for problems such as dead batteries, flat tires or other automotive emergencies. The club responds to some 2.5 million Emergency Road Service calls annually, with an annual call volume that approximates 4 million calls. His teams ensure Members receive legendary service that’s unparalleled in the industry.
Before joining the club, Jim was vice president of Member Engagement and Strategic Innovation at AAA Club Partners. Prior to that, he was Director of Automotive Services, where he managed 130 independent towing contractors and 160 repair facilities. In other leadership appointments, Jim also assisted in helping shape the vibrant culture at the AAA Glendale Call Center and helped develop management best practices and its employee workforce.
Jim received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Northern Illinois University. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Karen, and their five children.
