With the train as your primary transport, you'll navigate easily between cities, traversing some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the world. Hotel stays, train travel and a sightseeing tour in each city are all prearranged but the rest is up to you. Begin in Zurich, Switzerland's financial capital. Explore its medieval Old Town and lakefront setting before taking the train to glamorous St. Moritz, a legendary haven for the rich and famous set in a stunningly romantic setting of forest, lake and mountains. Here you'll board the Glacier Express which follows the Rhine River before ascending to Zermatt. The train's oversized windows let you view castles along the river with the mighty Alps as a backdrop. The mountain village of Zermatt is set in a valley near the foot of the mesmerizing Matterhorn and features picturesque chalets, medieval twisting alleys (no cars are allowed), and spectacular scenery.
