Itinerary mapDay 1 - Arrive in Munich
Upon your arrival at Munich International Airport, take the group transfer to your hotel to check-in and unpack. The Holiday Inn Munich City Centre is ideally located within a 20-minute walk of the famous Marienplatz central square. This will be your home for the next four nights.

Tonight, meet your fellow companions at our welcome dinner at the hotel. Before and after dinner, feel free to explore the surrounding areas of the hotel including Haidhausen’s upbeat bars and restaurants.

Day 2 - Munich Walking Tour, the famous Marienplatz & Schwabing Christmas Market
Start your first full day in Germany with a walking tour of Munich. At the end of the tour you can enjoy a hot mulled wine at the Christmas Market at the famous Marienplatz. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a Munich brewery pub.

The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the area surrounding the hotel and city center. Munich has 24 Christmas Markets and one we especially recommend is the Schwabing Christmas Market with its unique artisan handicrafts made by local artists. A great place for art lovers and those looking for a unique gift.

Day 3 - Nuremberg
After breakfast, head north to the city of Nuremberg, site of Germany’s largest and most famous Christmas Market. Here, you’ll have hours to peruse the countless market stalls, enjoying the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Yuletide Germany before returning to Munich for dinner at the Franziskaner restaurant for this evening. Afterward, return to your hotel.

Day 4 - Regensburg
After breakfast, head northeast to the city of Regensberg. Here you will enjoy a guided tour of the famous castle "Thurn und Taxis." Afterward, enjoy lunch on your own as you visit the Christmas market in the castle. Later, return to Munich for a special dinner at a local restaturant.

Day 5 - Salzburg’s Christmas Market
After breakfast, depart Munich for Salzburg. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of Salzburg followed by a visit to its traditional Christmas Market. Enjoy lunch in Salzburg and then depart for Vienna. Check into your Vienna hotel and the remainder of the evening is on your own. Dinner is included at the hotel.

Day 6 - Vienna & the Rathausplatz Christmas Market
After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour by coach of Vienna. Lunch will be on your own. This afternoon, visit the Christmas Market at the Rathausplatz central square. You may choose to sip mulled wine or sample some candied fruits and other delicacies as you browse for holiday gifts. Dinner tonight is at WeiBer Rauchfangkehrer.

Day 7 - Schönbrunn Palace & Apple Strudel Show
On your last full day in Vienna, visit the famous Schönbrunn Palace for an Imperial Tour. Lunch is on your own. After lunch, visit the traditional apple strudel show at the palace bake house. In the afternoon, visit the Christmas Market of Schönbrunn. To close your time in Vienna, enjoy an evening concert with Deluxe seating at the Schönbrunn Palace, a wonderful way to end your holiday getaway.

Day 8 - Depart for home
After breakfast, bid auf wiedersehn to your fellow travelers and transfer to the Vienna airport for your return flight home.
