Enjoy midway rides, First Nations exhibits and all the excitement and cowboy camaraderie of a professional rodeo.

You'll begin your journey in Banff, where postcard-worthy scenes of jagged peaks rise above glistening mountain lakes. A guided excursion explores Banff's natural attractions. See more stunning wilderness on a drive along the Icefield Parkway to Columbia Icefield, where you'll enjoy an Ice Explorer ride across the surface of a glacier. At Lake Louise, the "Jewel of the Canadian Rockies," stroll the shores and photograph the famous Fairmont Lake Louise Hotel. Stop at Bar U Ranch to explore the history of Alberta’s ranch and cowboy community. Two of the ranch's owners helped found the Stampede in 1912. And experience Alberta's mountain scenery from a different perspective on a two-hour cruise on Waterton Lakes.

Witness three action-packed hours in which the rough and rugged skills of the world's top professional cowboys present a world-class showcase of saddle, bronco and bareback riding, calf roping and steer wrestling. In the evening, see the rollicking world championship of Chuck Wagon Racing followed by the Grandstand Show, an entertainment extravaganza. Your action-packed day ends with a brilliant finale of fireworks.

Itinerary mapDay 1 - Arrive in Calgary, Alberta / Banff
Welcome to Calgary! Upon arrival, you will be transferred from Calgary Airport to your centrally-located Banff hotel. Following the Trans-Canada Highway, watch Calgary, the Olympic city, dissolve into the foothills as the majestic Rockies rise ahead. Pass by the Three Sisters, Fairholme and Rundle Ranges en route to one of the best known destinations in the Rockies, the charming mountain resort of Banff. After arrival and check-in, enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers.

Day 2 - Banff Sightseeing
Today's sightseeing in Banff will highlight many local wilderness spots including Bow Falls, the Hoodoo Lookout and Surprise Corner. Also included in your Banff sightseeing tour is a ride up the Banff Gondola for a panoramic 360° view of the six surrounding mountain ranges. Later, enjoy an hour-long cruise on Lake Minnewanka, one of Alberta's largest bodies of water. Cruise beneath the jagged peaks of Mt. Aylmer and Inglismaldie, the hoodoo clusters and into Devil's Gap. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 - Icefield Parkway & Lake Louise
Today, get your camera ready as you travel along one of the most scenic roads in the world, the Icefield Parkway. Leaving Banff, travel along the spine of the Canadian Rockies and view a never-ending procession of mammoth mountains, jagged peaks, over 100 glaciers and pristine emerald color lakes. Stop and see the Columbia Icefield where you’ll enjoy an Ice Explorer ride out onto the glacier. A buffet lunch is included at Icefield Centre.

Also watch for the Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, with the Bow Glacier providing the backdrop, and Crowfoot Glacier before your arrival into Lake Louise this afternoon. Enjoy time at leisure to explore the iconic Fairmont Lake Louise Hotel which has Lake Louise at its doorstep. Return to Banff later this afternoon.

Day 4 – Banff / Bar U Ranch / Waterton Glacier National Park
Leaving Banff, travel eastward through the Rockies of the Bow Valley and later the rolling foothills. Today’s journey is heading southeast to Waterton Lake National Park at Canada-USA border. En route, stop at Bar U Ranch National Historic Site of Canada. Bar U Ranch is the only National Historic Site to commemorate the history and importance of ranching in Canada. Founded in the late 19th century, the ranch at its height spread across 160,000 acres. Two of the ranches owners helped found the Stampede in 1912 and one of the early hands became the outlaw Sundance Kid. Enjoy a stew and biscuit lunch during your visit. Continue to the unique town of Waterton Lake in Waterton Glacier National Park.

Day 5 – Waterton Lakes Cruise / Calgary
Following breakfast, embark on a two-hour cruise on Waterton Lakes. View spectacular mountain scenery and see bears, moose and bald eagles. After lunch on your own proceed to Calgary. Referred to as the “Heart of the New West,” Calgary is a vibrant city that offers the best of all worlds: a cosmopolitan city of nearly one million with outstanding outdoor adventure and pristine wilderness only an hour away in the Canadian Rockies. An orientation city tour is included with a ride up to Calgary Tower for panoramic view of the city.

Day 6 - Calgary Stampede: Rodeo, Chuck Wagon and Grandstand Show
Following breakfast at your hotel this morning, make your way to the Stampede grounds for a full day of Stampede fun. You will have Centre Level 1 or 2 seating (Platinum seating) at one of the largest rodeos in the world this afternoon. Spend time exploring the midway, art exhibits or other fascinating sights at the world’s largest outdoor show. After dinner, enjoy Centre Level 5 or 7 (Gold seating) at tonight’s Chuck Wagon races. Following the “chuck,” enjoy the evening Grandstand Show. (Note: Transportation today will be on Calgary Transit’s Light Rail system, the most efficient way to get to the grounds today.)

Day 7 - Depart Calgary
Following breakfast, transfer to the Calgary Airport for your flight home.
