Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure provides two unique experiences: a world-class Zoo with over 100 species of animals, many of which are rare or endangered in the wild, and a Wildlife Museum, one of the world's premier collections of full mount animals, displayed in naturalistic dioramas. The museum also boasts an exhibit gallery, children's exploration room, the ADM Mediaglobe Theater, and Conference Center. The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra began on September 19, 1939, when 55 musicians gathered for their first rehearsal as the Charleston Civic Orchestra. Under the direction of William R. Wiant, their first concert was given at Charleston 's Municipal Auditorium on November 14, 1939. The WVSO named Grant Cooper as Artistic Director & Conductor of the WVSO in March 2001 and in 2003 they began performances at The Clay Center for Arts and Sciences. The WVSO plays an impressive schedule from August- May at The Clay Center.
