AAA Northern California is teaming up with the Giants Community Fund to raise $50,000 to create safer communities for at-risk youth.

From April 1 through June 30, AAA Northern California will donate five dollars to the Giants Community Fund for AAA Insurance quotes completed within their branch offices. The money will help support the Junior Giants “Round the Bases Reading Program.” In addition, each quote is automatically entered for a chance to win two luxury suite tickets to a Giants 2012 home game.

The Giants Community Fund’s “Round the Bases Reading Program” supports education and teamwork by offering a special reading program for all Junior Giants players during the summer months.

“We would love for everyone to visit their local AAA branch and be a part of this shared commitment to our youth” said Paul Gaffney, President and CEO of AAA Northern California, Nevada, and Utah. “AAA is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Junior Giants 'Round the Bases Reading Program' which will support literacy in local communities throughout Northern California. As we get closer to baseball's opening day, AAA employees are excited to partner with the Giants Community Fund and be active contributors to such a worthy cause.”

The Giants Community Fund collaborates with the San Francisco Giants baseball team by using baseball as a forum to encourage underserved youth and their families to live healthy, productive lives. The Fund supports Junior Giants leagues throughout Northern California, Nevada and Oregon and provides assistance to targeted community initiatives in the areas of education, health and violence prevention.
